B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS
· Five (5) years of open pit mining experience in hard rock mining; preferably in a northern mining environment, and versed in all aspects of mine engineering application;
· Bachelor’s degree in geological/mine engineering (BASc);
· Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and membership in the Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist or ability to obtain same. Professional registration is mandatory; and
· Proficiency in mine planning and design software – Deswik, CAD, IS and OPDB preferred.

· Develop daily, weekly, and three-month rolling mine plans to align operations with quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets;
· Optimize pit and dump designs, ensuring compliance with geotechnical design parameters and pit phasing while minimizing dilution and maximizing ore extraction;
· Design and layout drill patterns for mining operations and collaborate with explosive supply contractors to optimize blast performance;
· Plan and manage water handling systems within the open pit to maintain safe and efficient operations;
· Assist in strategic mine planning, quarterly forecasting, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency gains and cost savings;
· Ensure a safe workplace by following best practices and participating in company-wide safety programs; and
· Prepare and submit clear and detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports while maintaining effective relationships with employees, contractors, and consultants.
