THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for developing daily and weekly schedules aligned to the monthly mine plan and targets. This involves detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, and an understanding of projects, costs, dump construction methodologies, and long-term strategies. You will drive processes that validate inputs and reconcile performance, ensuring efficient plans that meet operational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Developing weekly schedules and supporting monthly pit and overburden emplacement facility planning.
Providing guidance to technical staff and planners, including participation in planning meetings.
Liaising with Maintenance teams to optimise equipment maintenance scheduling.
Acting as process owner for short-term overburden placement facility (OEF) design and inspection processes.
Managing weekly data reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with business needs.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimise resources and deliver against the mine plan.
Providing expertise on OEF sequencing and construction methodologies.
Ensuring all designs meet MRM policies and compliance requirements.
