About This Role
As the Mine Planning Superintendent, you’ll lead the planning function across both Vickery and Tarrawonga mines. This site-based role is pivotal in shaping the next five years of mine planning, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring a high-performing technical team. Enjoy a 9-day fortnight and the opportunity to live and work in the Gunnedah region.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver cost-effective mine designs, schedules, and plans with both tactical and strategic focus
• Lead the development of fortnightly mine plans, 12-month STPs, 5-year forecasts, and compliance reconciliations
• Oversee and improve planning processes and documentation, including procedures and risk assessments
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the Mine Planning team
• Support recruitment and development of technical talent

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience in open cut mining operations
• Proficiency in SPRY and Vulcan (or similar mine planning software) and strong data analysis skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field
• Statutory qualifications (desirable)
• Proven ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary technical team
