SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working towards a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, other mining related engineering fields
  • Equivalent work experiences an asset
  • Able to work individually, as well as in a team situation, with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Deswik is an asset
  • Experience with HEC-HMS is an asset
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong planning skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Enjoys challenging dynamic work

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

Are you motivated to join Imperial as an Water Resources Engineering Student? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity within our Water Resources Engineering team.

It is expected that the successful candidate for this role would also support the following types of activities:

  • Work closely with various internal engineering groups
  • Manage various water related studies and review findings/recommendations with team to determine next steps (conduct internal design or provide scope to consultant)
  • Work closely with the various stakeholder from field and office - Water Resource Engineer / Hydrologist, Civil Field Engineers, Environment and Regulatory Advisors, Geotechnical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Reclamation Specialists, Mine Plannin
