JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serves as an Application Specialist in Mining Technology industry. Leverages mining technology application knowledge to increase safety and improve mining operations, process, change management, increase customer loyalty, and improve sales force effectiveness. This position supports new and ongoing MineStar Command for Hauling operations. Application Specialist manages the autonomous tucks fleet, supporting mining customers on achieving a safer and more productive operation. Also supplies recommendations back through the Product Development group to influence future product development. This position will influence market requirements, trends, and key areas for product improvement. The Application Specialist is assigned to a mine site and reports the operation and system performance to a Technology Site Manager assigned to the same operation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree: Mining Engineering (desired) or similar
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc)
  • English Intermediate
Responsibilities

Drive customer recognition of value of MineStar Command for Hauling Technology, product feature design, improved processes, and change management.

  • Supports customers on the Capacitation/Training strategy and organization
  • Provides on going basic training of customer personnel in areas of expertise
  • Provides technical expertise related to Caterpillar MineStar Technology products.
  • Provide operational support to the Autonomous Trucks operation.
  • Support customers by providing basic product application expertise
  • Consults with site on basic features and processes are in place to support mining technology
  • Benchmarks site performance using several metrics to ensure continuous improvement
  • Recommends MineStar Best Practices
  • Support customers through the change management process
