ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Calm, patient, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to supporting children with SEND.
  • Able to manage challenging behaviours in a positive and constructive way.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school day.
  • A safe and competent driver, with a full driving licence that includes the D1 entitlement (or equivalent) allowing you to drive a minibus.
  • Enthusiastic about working as part of a close-knit, supportive team.
Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and proactive individual to join our team as a combined Minibus Driver and Teaching Assistant. This is a unique role that blends safe and responsible transport with meaningful support for children and staff.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the school minibus to transport children safely to and from our farm provision each day.
  • Supporting children and staff during journeys, ensuring safety, calm routines, and positive behaviour management.
  • Assisting staff in the classroom, farm, and playground to provide consistent support for children with SEND and extreme needs.
  • Helping to manage behaviour and promote a positive learning and social environment both inside and outside of lessons.
  • Being a reliable and supportive member of staff, working collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs of the children.
