We seek a strong Mining Engineer to join our Open Pit Team at KCGM Operations.
This role is Kalgoorlie residential on an 8/6 roster, working 11-hour shifts.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, this challenging and dynamic role will enable an experienced Mining Engineer to help schedule the daily mine plan and drive safe production from the operational team. The asset continues to grow, which is the ideal time for a candidate to join who wants to develop their career.

Essential

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years open pit hard rock mining experience.
• Experience using Deswik CAD and Scheduler packages.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to hold themselves and others accountable for their roles and responsibilities.
• Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.

Preferred

• Experience working with a mining contractor or working for a mining company.
• Experience designing drill and blast patterns with basic knowledge of drill and blast.
• Experience working in a bigger team and experience dealing with production supervisors or Production Co-ordinators.
• Experience using Power BI.
