Job Description Role: Mining Engineer Location: Weld Range, Western Australia FIFO ex-Perth Roster: 8/6 Type: Permanent, Full-time We are seeking an experienced candidate who is a technically strong and proactive mining professional, excels in short-term planning, scheduling, and drill and blast designs within a fast-paced, ramp-up environment. They are detail-oriented, data-driven, and proficient in mining software, ensuring accurate plans, effective designs, and continuous improvement, with a strong commitment to safety embedded in all aspects of their work. They are also a collaborative and adaptable team player, working closely with operations to ensure plans are executed safely and efficiently. With clear communication skills and a willingness to contribute to both daily activities and longer-term planning, they support Fenix’s growth toward a sustainable 10Mtpa operation while maintaining a strong safety-first culture. About the Role Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will: Provide detailed daily and weekly mine planning and scheduling while contributing towards the monthly mine plan. Completing drill and blast designs, mine design pit changes, dumps, ramps and other designs in as required. Mine plan compliance monitoring and production reporting. Preparing and/or reviewing drill and blast design plans & monitoring, QAQC. Providing engineering services to other stakeholders, as required. Contributing to the development of long term mine plans. Working closely with supervisors and operations superintendents to monitor execution of plans. Project work, as required. What You Bring Previous experience in scheduling, planning and/or drill and blast designing within a similar position in the mining industry. High level of computer literacy and experience in CAD Mining Software (Deswik, Surpac or Vulcan) and Mine Planning Software (Alastri, Xecute etc) is highly desirable. Valid C-class Manual Driving Licence. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Surveying or equivalent.
