  • Job locations: Calgary, AB or Fort McMurray, AB – Horizon or Albian Sands
  • Shift schedules: Various
  • Term lengths: 4, 8, 12 or 16 months

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support mine and tailings operations through performance monitoring, design work, analyzing trends, optimizing production efficiencies
  • Design work may include haul roads, earth structures, tailings storage structures and pit walls
  • Assist in the budget process by collaboratively providing inputs to develop the annual mine operations budget
  • Assist in different planning scenarios and design work to determine best economic path forward
  • Detailed scheduling to support mine, tailings and project execution plans
Responsibilities
  • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s degree program in Mining, Mineral or Geological engineering is preferred (Civil engineering is also acceptable)
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Previous engineering or field experience is considered an asset
  • Required to be physically and mentally fit for work
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract.
  • A pre-employment drug screening test must be successfully completed
