SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background and foundational experience in the mining industry, including application knowledge of mining sector equipment
  • B.S. in mechanical or mining engineering degree preferred
  • Selling and sales negotiation skills
  • Analytical and computer system proficiency to complete the job duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

The Mining Sector Specialist role is an integrated member of the U.S. West Region commercial sales team focused on driving growth of Mobil-branded lubricants with mining sector customer. The position is expected to have a strong foundational background in the mining industry. The role will be home-based in Phoenix, AZ.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for direct-selling and / or sell-through of Mobil lubricants and service offering to local, regional, and multi-national mining customers.
  • Responsible to achieve sales plans in collaboration with designated ExxonMobil distributors.
  • Accountable for the tactical execution of the finished lubricants offer to the mining sector across the western U.S. market
  • Responsible to execute sales pipeline and account planning processes:
  • Lead pipeline management in mining sector
  • Lead process for evaluation and response to HQ-led mining RFQs
  • Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) resource for mining offer sales execution
  • Develop and execute implementation plan to onboard new mining customers
  • Lead account plan development for existing mining customers
  • Responsible to execute field engineering services and document customer value (advance customer ambitions)
  • Travel and attend customer / distributor meetings in person.
  • Create, leverage and curate mining sector insights and trends to drive growth and help solve customer challenges
  • Performs other duties as assigned
