Description
Overview MINNEAPOLIS, MN (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A dynamic, high-profile family is seeking an experienced PART-TIME PROFESSIONAL NANNY to join their household and complement an established, fully staffed rotational nanny team. This is a long-term role guaranteeing 30 hours per week, designed to provide additional coverage and flexibility within a well-structured childcare system. The schedule requires adaptability, as hours may shift based on travel, events, and the family’s evolving needs. The family has three children, ages 8 years, 3 years, and 8 months, and this role requires comfort caring for all three children, including the baby. While the rotational team provides primary coverage, this position is essential in ensuring seamless transitions, additional hands-on support, and consistent care when extra coverage is needed. The oldest child is outgoing and in school full-time with sports activities, the middle child is home until preschool begins, and the baby is described as happy and easygoing. Responsibilities include engaging the children in developmentally appropriate activities, assisting with homework, coordinating transportation to school and activities, preparing children’s meals, managing children’s laundry, running errands, and maintaining organization of children’s spaces and routines. Travel is an important component of this role, and candidates must be comfortable and experienced traveling with families, both domestically and internationally. A passport is a strong plus. The parents are seeking someone who can blend seamlessly into their busy lifestyle, work collaboratively with the rotational team, and remain flexible as schedules shift. Emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to step in confidently without disrupting existing systems are highly valued. The ideal candidate has strong professional childcare experience across infant, toddler, and school-aged groups, a solid understanding of child development, and current CPR and First Aid certification. Early childhood education coursework is preferred but not required. The nanny should be trustworthy, organized, positive, and comfortable in a high-demand environment. A valid driver’s license is required, with mileage reimbursement provided if a personal vehicle is used. An NDA is required. There are no pets in the home. The family is offering $35–$40+/hour gross via payroll, commensurate with experience, with 30 guaranteed hours per week. Additional benefits will be discussed with qualified candidates.
