Description
Lead the development of Mirror Components and System. Program responsibility will include truck and car products. Concurrently execute multiple programs from cradle to grave including DEA/Waterfall development, studio checkpoint process, FDJ and launch. Coordinate and implement all the required actions to improve overall customer satisfaction as it relates to the product while maintaining an affordable business structure. Generate cost reductions and revenue opportunities for current and future model programs. Drive the Product Development process (Design, Development, Validation, and Launch) of mirror, achieving compliance of requirements; SDS, design rules, VDS, FMVSS and legal requirements. Lead resolution of current model quality issues in support of V13 VFG leader. Support core engineering in design rule development and SDS updates for the components you are responsible for. Support MCR target achievement for mirrors. Lead and resolve all financial and part related issues for all tier 1 suppliers. Identify, develop and engineer innovative components to increase customer satisfaction and utility. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related degree. 3+ years of experience in design and release of exterior trim components. Experience with studio interface of Class “A” Parts. Knowledge of exterior trim components including materials and manufacturing technologies. Experience successfully delivering product through the studio feasibility checkpoint process. Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and effectively communicate to management.
