REQUIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION:

  • 13 years minimum to include:
  • 7 years of experience in mission engineering, with a specific focus on operational analysis, intelligence collection, concept development, or systems integration in a defense or military field.5 years of experience with concept of operations (CONOPS) development, mission thread creation or analysis, defense planning scenario decomposition, or mission characterization.3 years of experience with collection of data to support mission engineering which includes intelligence collection for threat information or collection of order of battle data. Working knowledge and experience of the force structure and capabilities of blue (US), friendly, and adversary forces.2 years of experience interacting with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Services, or Intelligence Community.
  • Bachelors: Operation Research or Engineering; OR possess a certificate from advanced Professional Military Education relevant to Military Training and/or Military Planning
  • systems analysis, or capability gap assessment/analysis.3 years of experience with model-based engineering approaches, DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), or other architecture modeling standards.3 years of experience with model-based engineering and architecture tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Innoslate, or similar tools.Education:Bachelors: Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline
Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
  • Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives. I
  • Experience with Concept of operations (CONOPS) development, mission thread creation or analysis, defense planning scenario decomposition, or mission characterization.
  • Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force. Interact with Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Services and Intelligency Community.
  • Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
  • Experience in collection of data to support mission engineering which includes intelligence collection for threat information or collection of order of battle data.
  • Working knowledge and experience of the force structure and capabilities of blue (US), friendly, and adversary forces.
  • Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.
  • Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.
