Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Mission Assurance Associate Engineer who will support a position in Midland, TX.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MISSION ASSURANCE ASSOCIATE ENGINEER:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) and basic quality tools (e.g., calipers, CMM).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document quality processes and collaborate with teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
  • Assess new product designs for manufacturability and quality compliance, providing recommendations to R&D and Product Engineering.
  • Develop and execute quality control processes to ensure products meet safety, performance, and mission reliability standards.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept studies, focusing on quality validation and defect analysis.
  • Support detailed process design, including layouts, tooling, and fixturing, with an emphasis on quality assurance metrics.
  • Perform inspections and audits to identify nonconformances, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate quality checks into production workflows, utilizing Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Participate in safety and quality initiatives, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards (e.g., NASA-STD-6016, ECSS).
  • Document quality findings and contribute to mission assurance reports, supporting launch readiness.
