Description

ABOUT US

At The Arc of the Capital Area, we believe every person with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserves the opportunity to thrive, belong, and contribute to their community. For over 75 years, we’ve been breaking barriers, creating inclusive opportunities, and standing as fierce advocates for those we serve. Our team is passionate, innovative, and deeply committed to empowering individuals and families across Central Texas.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want someone who is:

  • Results-driven — energized by goals, accountability, and hitting measurable targets.
  • Mission-minded — passionate about social justice, inclusion, and equity.
  • Story-powered — able to inspire others by connecting data and impact with compelling narratives.
  • Relationship-focused — a natural networker who sees every conversation as an opportunity.
  • Creative & bold — not afraid to think differently about fundraising and partnership building.

Previous nonprofit, sales, or business development experience is helpful, but above all, we’re looking for someone who thrives on making meaningful connections that drive tangible results.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a driven, relationship-centered professional to step into a role nonprofits rarely invest in — a dedicated revenue generator who can champion our mission the same way a top salesperson champions a product. Instead of selling widgets, you’ll be selling possibility, impact, and transformation.

As our Mission & Impact Coordinator, you will:

  • Build authentic relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and corporate partners.
  • Secure sponsorships, philanthropic investments, and event underwriting that fuel our programs.
  • Translate our mission into clear ROI for partners — showing them not just why to give, but why to stay engaged.
  • Own and exceed fundraising quotas through a pipeline you grow, nurture, and close.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising with our long-term strategic vision.

This isn’t just a development job. It’s about being on the frontlines of possibility — turning “yes” into real dollars that directly support individuals with IDD in gaining independence, employment, and creative expression.
