Job Description As part of the team to support services for the European GNSS Service Centre (GSC) of the Galileo system you will have the following responsibilities: Monitor mission-critical systems and services to ensure operational continuity; Detect, analyze, and resolve Level 1 incidents promptly; Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary; Execute routine operational procedures and checklists; Maintain system availability and performance across Linux and Windows environments; Support virtualization platforms and containerized applications; Perform basic troubleshooting of network equipment and connectivity issues; Ensure proper functioning of monitoring and analysis tools; Log incidents and service requests in ticketing systems; Track and update incident status until resolution; Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for operational processes. Qualifications You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Telecommunications engineering, or a related technical field; Minimum of 2 years of experience as System or Operations Engineer; Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems; Virtualization platforms and container technologies; Familiarity with Monitorization and analysis tools; Familiarity Network equipment; Ticketing systems and incident tracking tools; Holding a Personal Security Clearance (PSC) or application in progress at the time of proposal submission at a minimum of EU-Confidential + Crypto; Ability to create and manage technical documentation; Experience or familiarity with satellite technologies or satellite navigation; Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
