The position is full-time, exempt and is located at the Leawood campus at 13720 Roe Ave. Please see below for a full job description.  Job Summary   The Mission Operations Program Director – Leawood is a key leader responsible for the operational backbone of Resurrection’s Missions Ministry. This role oversees logistics, procurement, inventory systems, transportation, and facilities coordination that support mission engagement across the church. To accomplish this, they will work closely with, and under the direction of, the Director of Local Mission Engagement – Leawood. As a member of the Missions Team, the Mission Operations Program Director – Leawood will collaborate with the Missions Staff and Volunteer Leaders, Location Pastors and Directors of Operations, and Resurrection Rx staff to develop, communicate, and implement strategies that will engage every member in the essential practice of service, so that together we might transform Kansas City to reflect the kingdom of Heaven, while helping participants become deeply committed Christians, and while closing the Opportunity Gap and Justice and Kindness Gap identified in our 2030 vision.   With primary leadership responsibility for mission trucks & transportation, procurement, the mission center, Backpacks for Hunger, and Meals Ministry, this position ensures that resources, supplies, and systems are in place so that volunteers and partners can serve effectively and with excellence. Procurement and logistics responsibilities extend churchwide, supporting missions’ activity across all locations. He/she will develop systems and processes to streamline the movement of people and resources, connecting people to serving and delivering resources to Resurrection’s community partners.  Essential Responsibilities and Expectations:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Position-Specific  * Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for mission operations, logistics, and procurement across all Missions Ministry. * Oversee churchwide procurement of supplies and materials for Hunger Ministry, Partner Schools, Backpacks for Hunger, Meals Ministry, and collection drives. * Manage inventory systems, ordering cycles, storage, and distribution to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and readiness. * Develop and maintain operational processes and documentation that standardize logistics across locations. * Coordinate transportation and delivery logistics, including scheduling, routing, and safety protocols. * Maintain and oversee the fleet of mission vehicles, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and compliance. * Provide leadership for the Mission Center, including space utilization, workflow, storage systems, and volunteer operations. * Travel regularly between Resurrection locations and the Mission Center to support logistics, problem-solve, and provide leadership presence. * Oversee onboarding and administrative coordination for volunteers connected to Truck Ministry. * Recruit, train, equip, and lead volunteers serving in logistics and operations-focused roles. * Lead, mentor, and support volunteers to grow in their faith through serving, one of the essential practices of the Christian faith by providing clear expectations and encouragement through problem-solving. * Address conflicts or complex operational challenges with professionalism and pastoral sensitivity. * Work collaboratively with Missions Team members to support volunteer engagement and tracking. * Maintain an active and visible presence in the community. * Help manage the ministry budget. * Other duties as assigned.
