Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a Mission Operations Support Specialist on a very exciting program! You will join a select cadre of mission system operators to support one of our customer's most important mission areas. The successful candidate will have the capacity to learn technical subject matter quickly to become fully approved to sit as an operator on a multi-function contractor and government team. You must also be able to operate independently, and as part of a team, being self-driven to meet the requirements of the position. In this role, you will attend PMR’s, TEMS’s and events at vendor locations in the United States. Part of this role includes supporting other team members with broader activities to include facilities, security, shipping and logistics, in coordination with customer project leaders. This position will require CONUS and OCONUS travel up to 25%25 of the time. You must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly to be considered for the position Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience may be substituted for the degree Ability to successfully complete mission system-specific training on multiple mission systems, with training held at vendor locations in the United States Ability to learn and operate mission systems as part of an integrated team during field and CONUS based missions for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours), and occasionally outside core hours (evenings/weekends). This is not a fixed "shift" type schedule Ability to travel to field sites and perform system installations, O&M and testing of mission systems including antennas, shelters, and processing equipment Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting for pre-deployment exercises and operational readiness exercises and generate comprehensive reports on findings Ability to interact with engineering, targeting, and development vendors and answer questions about operational requirements Ability to help write operations procedures, operations plans, and technical documentation for mission systems Attention to detail and ability to quickly recognize issues/anomalies/concerns during operations and alert missions director/mission team
