We are seeking a Mission Security Lead to provide leadership and oversight of mission security operations in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), ensuring compliance with security policies while supporting daily operations and high-visibility events. What You’ll Be Doing Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for a team of high-performing, mission-minded Mission Security Technicians Serve as the program Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mission security matters Develop and maintain mission security plans, procedures, and processes Manage the issuing, securing, accountability, and control of visitor restricted area badges in support of site access and distinguished visitor events Conduct security briefings for personnel related to visiting and escorting MDA facilities Ensure construction and maintenance personnel are properly badged, briefed, and monitored within restricted areas in accordance with security policies Manage the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) program Assist staff with plans, programs, and implementation of activities including security, logistics, visitor control, protocol events, scheduling, and test support Assist customers with maintaining security databases, escort training records, access lists to secure rooms, security containers, and photographic device permits Create training plans to develop and mentor Mission Security Technicians What You Bring Basic Requirements: Must have 6 years of general (full-time) work experience May be reduced with completion of advanced education Must have 3 years of related experience Must have 2 years of experience working in a management or leadership role Must be knowledgeable in DoD escorting policies and procedures for escorting uncleared personnel in classified areas Must be able to move freely throughout a large facility, including stairs and ladders Must be able to perform work above ceilings and below floors Must be able to remain alert for extended periods Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements: Experience providing security or escort duties for the Missile Defense Agency Experience supporting the IRES contract Why LaunchTech?
