Our space systems team is looking for a Mission Systems Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, integration, and testing of our hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulation tools. The ideal candidate possesses a background that combines expertise in hardware and software design, along with system integration experience, to develop simulator solutions tailored for space system development and operations.

Responsibilities

Mission Systems Engineer responsible for:

  • Lead HWIL development across programs to ensure program simulation hardware, and verification plans, meet program statement of work, CDRLs, and requirements.
  • Define HWIL design, requirements, test applications, and support equipment.
  • Coordinate development of HWIL drawings to capture designs and configurations.
  • Identify and procure HWIL equipment, and coordinate the installation of equipment and harnesses.
  • Support development of test scenarios, and support test plan and procedure development to ensure requirements are fully verified.
  • Support software development for HWIL environment.
  • Establish collaborative work relationships with peers to ensure synergy across space, ground, and launch.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to define and inform HWIL design. SE work products may include:
