(MTSI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mission Systems Security Engineer to support an advanced air platform program focused on achieving and sustaining national air dominance. As part of MTSI’s commitment to delivering innovative engineering services and technology solutions, this role will contribute directly to the security, resilience, and survivability of next-generation weapon and mission systems operating in highly contested environments. The successful candidate will provide systems engineering expertise across platform and weapon mission systems security, supporting the development, integration, certification, and sustainment of secure mission capabilities critical to the nation’s defense. Responsibilities The Mission Systems Security Engineer will provide technical leadership and systems engineering support across mission system security disciplines. Responsibilities include: Provide systems engineering support across all aspects of platform and weapon mission systems security Support the development, integration, test, procurement, and sustainment of secure mission system subsystems within complex weapon systems Provide technical direction and guidance on the application of: Cryptographic units and encryption technologies Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Anti-tamper and hardware security processes Software assurance and cybersecurity practices Supply chain risk management for air and ground systems Support identification and protection of Critical Program Information (CPI) and development of program protection strategies Ensure mission systems comply with cybersecurity policies, statutes, and industry best practices Support interoperability, communications testing, and certification activities (e.g., AIMS, JITC, NSA) Support the application of Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) and interfaces governing interoperable communications and systems security engineering practices Lead and support Government and industry teams through technical planning, design reviews, test reviews, and technical assessments Develop and deliver technical briefings to a wide range of audiences, including senior technical and leadership stakeholders Collaborate with U.S. Government and industry partner organizations to support joint mission capability development Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline Experience across platform and weapon mission systems security engineering Experience with cryptographic systems, cross domain solutions, and secure communications technologies Experience supporting system development, integration, test, procurement, and sustainment activities Experience integrating subsystems into complex weapon systems Demonstrated experience integrating Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) into operational weapon systems Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing technical content to senior leadership Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, “tip of the spear” environment Strong willingness to learn, execute, and solve complex mission-critical problems Desired Experience with anti-tamper, hardware security, software assurance, and cybersecurity for air and ground systems Familiarity with supply chain risk management practices for defense systems Experience with interoperability and communications test and certification processes (e.g., AIMS, JITC, NSA) Familiarity with Government Reference Architectures and standards such as AMS GRA, A-GRA, Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI), JREAP, MIL-STD-6016, Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST cybersecurity standards Familiarity with agile development and systems engineering tools such as Atlassian Suite and Cameo #LI-ZS1 #ONSITE #Dragons #Rudy #YellowHammer
