Description This position exists to bring leadership and strategic direction to all of Calvary PSL’s local and global missions’ partnerships by following the command of the great commission as found in Matthew 28:19-20. The Missions Director reports directly to the Reach Pastor. Essential Job Functions: · Plan and lead short-term mission trips at least 4 times a year under the direction of the Reach Pastor. · Recruit and train short-term mission trip members. · Raise up and equip short-term mission trip leaders for success. · Ensure ongoing communication and relationship with global mission partners. · Maintain relationship and communication with our Bible Training Center in Togo to include regular communication with our mission partners in Ghana and Togo and Board of Directors as well as being our representative in Togo for graduating classes. · Maintain communication and relationships with local mission's partners. · Manage and oversee local missions under the direction of the Reach Pastor. · Maintain partnership with Calvary Christian Academy for local and global missions. · Assistance with care related needs as directed by supervisor. · Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements · Associate’s degree · 2 years ministry related work experience. · Active passport and cleared for international travel. · Relational and compassionate - Connects well with staff and congregants on a personal, face-to-face basis to understand their needs and desires to care well in the midst. · Team Player - Understands the vision cast by Calvary Port Saint Lucie staff/pastors/leadership and assists in Missions in such a way that best reflects the mission of the church to be a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church. Establishes good lines of communication with pastoral staff and leadership. · Self-motivator - Many of the tasks of the Missions Director position require an individual to manage their time effectively and efficiently. · This person will possess a strong work ethic and maintain a positive and proactive collegial environment. · Understands and agrees with Calvary PSL’s statement of faith, mission, and core commitments. This position performs Ministerial duties, which include: · Praying with people · Providing Biblical guidance, assistance, and spiritual wisdom to individuals dealing with personal issues · Leading and/or actively participating in Discipleship Environments · Assisting with administering the ordinances of baptism and communion · Organizing and directing ministry programs within their area · Leading and/or participating in outreach endeavors · Supervising the Church’s administration and finances within their area The above job description supersedes all previous descriptions.
