QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • EDM-B license mechanic
  • Experienced with rack-and-pinion drive systems (ex: Raxtar, RNU, industrial elevators, construction hoist)
  • Comfortable working outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient in the English language with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities
  • Review approved specifications and elevator maintenance agreements and applicable acts, regulations and codes
  • Inspect elevator components and other related building systems
  • Getting clearance with TSSA for handing elevator over to customers and ensuring hoists pass on interval inspections/ testing.
  • Prepare inspection reports, respond to complaints/queries, review and acting on reports from Technical Standards and Safety Authority
  • Installation, Dismantling, Maintenance and repair of elevators including supervision.
  • Determine the need for and perform major overhaul or replacement of defective equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Follow appropriate maintenance and service procedures
  • Training and mentoring of EDM-T’s.
  • Lifting requirements.
