THE ROLE:

As a Design Technician, you’ll be responsible for turning technical concepts into accurate truss and joist designs, tailored to architectural and structural requirements. This role combines precision engineering with customer-facing support, ensuring bespoke solutions are delivered on time and to specification.

KEY DUTIES:

• Analyse architectural and engineering drawings to produce efficient timber truss and joist layouts using specialist software.
• Provide accurate and timely quotations and design proposals to clients.
• Communicate proactively with both new and existing customers, building strong relationships.
• Respond to technical queries and support production with clear manufacturing details.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the smooth handover from design to manufacture.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all design work.
