Description Property Medics of Georgia is a Residential construction company whose main focus is on insurance related reconstruction. We currently have an immediate opening for an experienced Mitigation Technician. Our Mitigation Technicians work hard in often harsh conditions involving, smoke, water, mold, sewage, etc., to help people and properties recover from damage due to disasters. We are looking for self-motivated, team players who genuinely care about their workmanship. We are always busy and have steady work all year long. Mitigation Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Water Damage-extraction, drying, minor demolition & pack out Fire Damage-board up, structure stabilization, smoke cleaning & pack out Trash removal Material/supply delivery Mold Remediation Restoration-contents manipulation, cleaning, small punch out tasks Occasionally works interdepartmentally helping with other contents, mitigation, reconstruction, and/or demolition tasks as needed. On call rotation for new emergency calls Requirements 1 year of water mitigation experience required. Prior work experience with a disaster restoration company preferred. Water Mitigation Certification (WRT, ASD, …) preferred, but not required. We will send you to training once you have proven tenure. High School diploma (or equivalent) or higher preferred. Must have a driver’s license with a clean MVR Must be able pass a background check and drug screen. Must have a valid driver’s license. Standard schedule is 40 hours or more a week, with possible overtime. This is a 24/7 company with an on-call requirement every other week. **Please do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement. ** Must be self-motivated; works well individually. Must be a team player; works well with team. Must have excellent customer service skills Must be able to lift a minimum 70lbs without assistance.
Responsibilities
Mitigation Technicians perform essential recovery tasks following disasters, including water extraction, drying, minor demolition, board-up services, and smoke cleaning for fire damage incidents. Responsibilities also involve trash removal, material delivery, mold remediation, and assisting with contents manipulation and small punch-out tasks as needed.
