What you will do: Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety, environmental, and operational policies without exception. Contribute to a positive team-oriented culture while upholding the company’s values. Actively participates in all Safety meetings. Maintain personal appearance in a neat and clean manner, including shirts always tucked in. Safely drive the truck to and from the destination, applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads. Check loads to ensure the product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner to adjust to the desired level. Estimate slump of concrete. Distinguish between a proper mix and one that is too rocky or too sandy. Distinguish the color difference between mixes. Strive to meet customer expectations without exception and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction survey results consistent with strategic objectives. Develop extensive working relationships with customers, both externally and internally, to maximize opportunities for KRM and to ensure customer needs are addressed. Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies. Conduct routine preventative maintenance to include greasing of Rollers, chutes, chain drives for front discharge mixers, and topping off of fluids as required. Maintain radio contact with Plant Manager/Customer Service Center to receive and transmit delivery instructions. Properly tracks and documents activity logs, delivery tickets, and other paperwork as required. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment. Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B). Must be at least 18 years of age for operations in South Carolina and 21 years of age for operations in Georgia. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a CDL driver required. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must reflect: No DUI or DWI violations within the past five (5) years. No more than three (3) moving violations within the previous three (3) years. Bilingual skills are a plus. Basic math proficiency, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two-digit numbers accurately. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist height and over short distances (approximately 5 feet). Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs. across distances of up to 10 feet. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. from waist to shoulder height. Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and equipment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform continuous physical activity throughout the workday. Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb as required to complete assigned tasks. Position requires regular walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing during daily operations. Must be able to exert up to 100 lbs. of force frequently while handling materials or operating equipment. Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders and perform work at various heights. Must be able to push, pull, turn, and operate controls safely and effectively. Ability to work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to extreme heat or cold. EOE
