Purpose of Position The Mixing Production Associate supports material preparation and general production tasks essential to the rubber mixing process. This role requires attention to detail, safe work habits, and the ability to work in a physically demanding and sometimes dirty environment involving carbon black, oils, and rubber materials. Associates work both independently and as part of a team to support workflow, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced production setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, staging, and handling of raw materials used in mixing Support general production tasks as directed by technicians or leads Work in an environment exposed to rubber dust, carbon black, oils, and other residues Perform physical labor including standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure consistency and quality Perform basic quality checks on materials and report any concerns Complete simple production documentation and computer entries as required Maintain a clean and organized area following 5S and housekeeping expectations Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company policies including attendance, time clock use, and cell phone guidelines Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding workflow or safety issues Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications Ability to work in a dirty, fast-paced manufacturing environment Dependable attendance and willingness to learn Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform sustained manual labor Strong attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Basic math and computer skills Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred We offer competitive pay and great benefits to support your career and life outside of work: PTO & Holidays: Up to 13 days PTO + 10 paid holidays per year Insurance Options: Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance Coverage HAS Contribution: $500 annually with a high-deductible health plan Retirement Savings: 401(k) with company match (up to 4%) Attendance Bonus: Up to $2.00/hour extra for perfect monthly attendance Physical Demands Mixing department workers operate in a heated and dirty environment with frequent physical demands.
