About the role Are you passionate about artificial intelligence and curious about how machine learning models are deployed and maintained in production environments? At Opella we are looking for an enthusiastic MLOps Intern to support our team on real-world projects applying cutting-edge technologies in the healthcare sector. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and data scientists to help build scalable infrastructure, data pipelines, and model deployment systems. What we’re looking for Recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Demonstrated interest in MLOps/DevOps, or the machine learning lifecycle. Basic knowledge of Python and Git. Familiarity (academic or self-taught) with tools such as Docker, FastAPI, Airflow, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. A strong desire to learn, hands-on attitude, team spirit, and attention to detail. Key responsibilities Under the mentorship of the MLOps team, you will: Assist in the design and maintenance of data and model training pipelines. Support the implementation of automated testing and model validation steps. Help containerize models using Docker and develop simple APIs with FastAPI. Contribute to CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions) to automate ML processes. Document technical workflows and pipeline components. Monitor pipeline executions and help troubleshoot issues and performance bottlenecks. Research and experiment with new tools and MLOps best practices alongside the team.
