JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, data management, and clinical laboratory operations. The Medical Laboratory Technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following experience:

  • Clinical laboratory experience with a strong background in laboratory procedures.
  • Familiarity with data management practices related to laboratory operations.
  • Experience in research laboratories is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of assays relevant to clinical diagnostics is essential.
  • Previous hospital experience is advantageous for understanding patient care dynamics. Responsibilities
  • Conduct various laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, immunoassays, and flow cytometry.
  • Perform RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood sampling procedures.
  • Manage specimen collection and processing while adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Utilize laboratory information management systems for data entry and analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Participate in clinical trials and research projects as needed.
  • Analyze test results and communicate findings to healthcare providers.
  • Uphold medical terminology standards while documenting procedures and results.
  • Assist in blood banking processes and perform phlebotomy as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and vital signs during patient interactions.
