Responsibilities

POSITION ROLE TYPE:

Onsite
At Raytheon, you have the opportunity to try new things and make a bigger difference across a broader end-to-end solution, a richer technology and product set, an expanded range of disciplines. You will be on the front lines as we trailblaze new approaches, push the boundaries of innovation and chart a course to a tomorrow you can be proud to have a hand in creating.
An opportunity exists for a Senior MMIC Design Engineer to join the Microelectronics Department at Raytheon. Our team designs custom integrated circuits from DC-100GHz that enable world class system performance across all platforms. The successful candidate will have experience in MMIC design of functions such as HPAs, LNAs, PSAs, TDUs, or High power switches in GaN, GaAs, or CMOS. The candidate will be responsible for the complete development cycle of the MMIC, including selection of the technology node, RF and DC topology, layout, test, evaluation, and interfacing with the internal customer. The work is focused on Gallium Nitride and Gallium Arsenide integrated circuit development, however, experience in CMOS is a plus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of the MMIC development process including RF and DC topology choices to optimize performance, analysis and documentation of performance, layout, submission to the foundry, and verification to specifications.
  • Collaborate with other MMIC engineers to share lessons-learned, grow the team’s knowledge base, improve the MMIC development process and increase first-pass successes.
  • Participate in rigorous and systematic design reviews and documentation of design decisions to ensure work outputs are of high quality and will function as simulated.
