ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Eating Disorder Clinician is to support the implementation of the NSW Service Plan for people with eating disorders (2021 - 2025) which aims to build and strengthen pathways to care, drive the implementation of evidence-based practice, service improvement and innovation and build capacity and capability within the NSW Health workforce.
The role is based within Network Mental Health services and part of a district wide eating disorder team. Working with key stakeholders internally and external service partners such as primary care and non-Government organisations, the role will provide eating disorder specific consultation liaison and capacity building to Mental health services, Medical services, Dietetic services and other service partners; intensive short term care coordination for people with eating disorders who require a multi-systemic collaborative care approach including working with carers; delivery of innovative evidence–based intervention approaches in individual or group format as a specialist service in addition to mainstream service provision.
A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
