Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE: MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT

The Didsbury Medical Clinic is looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be at the center of patient care coordination—scheduling appointments, communicating with patients, managing physician calendars, and keeping daily clinic operations running smoothly. You’ll be an essential part of the team, helping ensure patients receive timely, seamless care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage both internal and external phone lines, ensuring calls are directed to the right team members
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and follow-ups, keeping physician schedules organized
  • Greet patients and guide them to the appropriate resources and services
  • Maintain and update patient records in our electronic medical system
  • Accurately measure and document vital signs for each patient
  • Share collected information with the medical team to ensure coordinated care
  • Handle confidential communications via phone, email, fax, and mail
  • Perform administrative tasks and clerical duties to support the clinic’s operations
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
  • Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies, placing orders as necessary
