Description

WHO WE ARE

Since 2013, People.Health has transformed the way public health and healthcare organizations operate. Our small, dedicated team of developers, designers, and project managers creates software that supports large-scale health initiatives for State and Local Health Departments, Federal agencies, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and other entities dedicated to managing the health of underserved and vulnerable populations.

WHAT WE NEED

We are looking for an experienced Mobile App Developer to contribute to our Virtual Education Center (VEC) initiative. You will be tasked with developing the mobile app for both Android and iOS platforms, primarily using Flutter. Your role will focus on developing intuitive and interactive front-end features, while the back-end code will be handled by our development team. You will collaborate closely with our app designer to ensure a smooth, user-friendly experience that allows users to explore a comprehensive library of medical content, use symptom checkers, and prepare for appointments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the front-end of the VEC mobile app from scratch for both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring optimal performance in terms of speed, responsiveness, and reliability on both devices.
  • Work closely with our app designer to ensure the smooth integration of UI/UX designs into fully functional mobile experiences.
  • Utilize Flutter as the primary technology for development.
  • Employ React Native, Swift, Android Studio, and Xcode to develop efficient and scalable front-end solutions as secondary support technologies.
  • Focus on accessibility best practices in mobile app development. This involves supporting patients with varying abilities and backgrounds, while working closely with our 508 compliance accessibility expert to ensure complete adherence to standards.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support ongoing development and future updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any front-end issues, ensuring that the user experience remains smooth and engaging.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing to maintain high development standards.
