MONDAY - FRIDAY |MOBILE ACROSS SAN DIEGO COUNTY

Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Mobile Building Engineer to join their team in San Diego, CA. This role involves maintaining and optimizing building systems across several commercial utility buildings across San Diego.
You will be part of an experienced team, working directly with the Chief Engineer and Facilities Operations team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, MEP systems, and BAS, with at least 5 years of experience. While technical skills are important, we are looking for someone with the right attitude and enthusiasm for the role, as we provide training for additional skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and BAS systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across all building systems (chillers, RTUs, MEP).
• Handle tenant service requests promptly and professionally, ensuring excellent tenant relations.
• Inspect equipment and maintain logs of all maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and external vendors for services and maintenance needs.
• Respond to emergency situations quickly and efficiently.
• Review elevator maintenance records and ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform minor repairs on doors, windows, floors, and other facility components.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and security requirements.
