Description

If you take pride in leading by example and thrive when trusted to represent a brand in high-stakes environments, this role is for you.
We’re hiring a Shift Lead to support our mobile concierge team on Vancouver’s Westside—someone who can keep operations running smoothly and ensure every client experience reflects our high standards of professionalism and care.
You don’t need a background in security—we can teach you that. What we’re really looking for is judgment, presence, and leadership. If you’re the kind of person who shows up sharp, communicates well, and naturally takes ownership of your environment, you’ll thrive here.

ABOUT PROVIDENT

We are not a typical security company and are not looking for typical security people. We’re looking for an experienced leader to join our team and help us continue to provide the highest level of security and concierge services in Vancouver.
Provident Security is Vancouver’s only full service security solution. We do it all; from supplying and installing security systems, access control systems, integrated home automation systems to monitoring those same systems in our own monitoring station. Most importantly, when a client alarm trips, we guarantee an in-person response within 5 minutes, 24 hours a day. Since 1996, we’ve earned a reputation for discretion, quality, and reliability—serving some of the most high-profile homes and clients in Canada.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • BC security license is preferred—but not required to apply
  • If you’re the right fit and succeed in the role, we’ll support you through certification.
  • Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and a clean abstract
  • Authorization to work in Canada and a clean criminal record
  • Experience in hospitality or emergency response is an asset
  • Familiarity with Vancouver’s westside neighbourhoods is an asset
Success in this role depends on strong time management, clear communication, and attention to detail (including catching small but important instructions—like mentioning the word owl in your application).
Responsibilities

We’re looking for an experienced leader to manage our mobile concierge team serving Vancouver’s westside. This position leads a team providing a wide range of high touch, personalized customer service. This isn’t an entry-level position—we need someone who can make quick decisions, manage service delivery, and maintain our high standards.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience and exceptional customer service skills to the role. You will:

  • coordinate our field teams responding to alarms, client requests, and emergencies across thousands of properties west of Oak Street
  • operate company vehicles
  • work closely with our Operations and Technical teams
  • ensure smooth service delivery during critical situations

While security industry experience is welcome, we’re more interested in your ability to lead teams and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
