Description
We are seeking a Mobile Crane Operator who will be responsible for safely operating mobile cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 160 to 300 tons to perform heavy lifting operations on construction, infrastructure, industrial, or oil & gas projects. The operator must ensure all lifting activities comply with approved lifting plans, safety regulations, and company procedures. Key Responsibilities Operate 160–300 ton mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials, equipment, and structural components. Interpret and follow approved lifting plans, load charts, and rigging instructions. Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the crane including mechanical, hydraulic, and safety systems. Ensure proper crane setup, including outriggers, ground stability, and counterweights. Work closely with riggers, signalmen, and lifting supervisors during lifting operations. Maintain constant communication with the banksman/signalman during lifting activities. Monitor crane load indicators, wind conditions, and site safety hazards. Follow all safety regulations, company procedures, and local lifting standards. Maintain crane logs, inspection records, and operational reports. Report equipment defects or maintenance requirements immediately. Ensure the crane is operated within manufacturer load limits and safety guidelines. Assist with crane mobilization, demobilization, and assembly/disassembly when required. Requirements Minimum 3–5 years experience operating heavy mobile cranes. Proven experience operating 160–300 ton cranes on large construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects. Valid Mobile Crane Operator Certification (recognized authority). Valid heavy equipment operator license. Strong knowledge of crane load charts and lifting calculations. Ability to read and understand lifting plans and rigging diagrams. Excellent hand-eye coordination and equipment control. Strong safety awareness. Good communication with rigging teams and supervisors. Ability to work in high-risk construction environments.
