What You’ll Do: Respond directly to mental health crisis calls in the community—meeting individuals where they “live, work, and play”—to provide timely, compassionate, on-site support. [Center vehicle provided]. Serve as a calm, steady presence during high-stress situations. Use trauma-informed de-escalation techniques to help individuals regain a sense of safety, control, and stability. Work closely with a multidisciplinary crisis response team, law enforcement, emergency services, and community partners to ensure coordinated, person-centered care. Provide short-term, impactful support designed to stabilize individuals in crisis and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and emergency room visits. Develop safety plans, identify coping strategies, and connect individuals & families to community resources and ongoing supports once the immediate crisis has passed. We accept equivalent work experience in human services (teaching, daycare, CNA, etc.) or a BA/BS degree. One year of related work = one year of college.
