Splunk’s Mobile Engineering team is looking for an Android Mobile Developer to build innovative products that allow our customers to bolster enterprise resilience by simply and securely accessing their data wherever they go. You will be interacting with product management and customers to understand detailed requirements, as well as work with other engineering teams across Splunk to design and build high-performance solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related major, and strong record of academic achievement
- Proficient in Android (Java or Kotlin) and Published an app to the Google Play Store
- Strong experience in building native mobile (Android) applications with an emphasis on performance and robustness
- Experience in mobile instrumentation and analytics, mobile app lifecycle
- Experience collaborating with design and multi-functional engineering teams to make the complex simple for the user
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with Protobuf and/or gRPC

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multi-functional team of product managers, designers and senior engineers to craft a new feature or app
- Build increasingly sophisticated app components and take an app through the entire SDLC, including fixing bugs and improving performance
- Participate in peer code reviews, and help improve code quality over time
