JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated mobile HGV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles efficiently and to a satisfactory level.

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, including inspections and diagnostics.
• Perform fabrication, welding, and soldering tasks as needed to ensure vehicle integrity.
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, and equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
• Carry out equipment repair on various vehicles including HGVs, Light commercial vehicles and various diesel machines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work van while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during the repair process.
• Maintain good communication with management.

SKILLS

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in fabrication techniques, welding, soldering, and assembly processes.
• Solid electrical experience.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to HGVs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
