JOB SUMMARY This position is located in the Emergency Medical Services Division of the Fire Department within the City of Oklahoma City. The Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) Paramedic is responsible for providing enhanced medical services to frequent 911 callers and people with non-emergent medical complaints as part of a co-response partnership with a Behavioral Health Navigation Responder. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Performs emergency field patient care providing basic and advanced medical care procedures in accordance with documented protocols and practices. * Provides non-emergency paramedic medical care to patients with non-emergent referrals and medical needs. * Performs in-home welfare checks and assessments for patients with non-emergent referrals. * Assists patients with scheduling appointments for medical care and provides transportation to scheduled appointments. * Serves as an advocate for patients by assisting them with access to community services. * Partners with Oklahoma City Fire Department personnel and Community Health Care Providers and Services to determine patient’s medical care needs. * Coordinates with Mobile Integrated Health team members and partners to facilitate and provide patient follow-up care. * Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Licensed Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic. * Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. * Oklahoma Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Licensure. * National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Licensure. * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification. * Possession of a valid Driver License (Operator or higher).
