All about the role
The purpose of this role is to support the engineering requirements of the organisation. You will be responsible as part of a team to ensure all mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of the company’s state-of-the-art equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer, with an electrical bias, to join our team.

Responsibilities

THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT ROLE SUNDAY 10 PM TO FRIDAY 6 AM

Specific tasks include:

  • Support all mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of the company’s manufacturing equipment and facility services (planned & reactive).
  • Routine maintenance of equipment, fault prevention, finding and repair of equipment and services.
  • Assist in the development of processes and making recommendations on improvements, asset care and developing a lean culture within the business.
  • Analyse equipment failures and suggest cost effective improvements.
  • Support the development to support the implementation of PPM schedules and Operating procedures.
  • Support the development of the Operator’s procedures and train them to carry out basic maintenance on the machines.
  • Use of machinery you will be working on is, but not limited to Bandsaw and Cold Saws, drive shafts, drills, CNC Machinery, Machine Tools etc.
  • Travelling across various sites.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR THE ROLE:

  • An Electrical Maintenance Engineering qualification or equivalent or a time served Apprenticeship – NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience of working in a Machinery Maintenance/ heavy industry background with a very strong electrical bias.
  • A background in fault finding/ rectification & competent mechanically, with experience of hydraulics & Conveyoring systems.
  • A full Uk driving license with no more than 6 points
  • The ability to travel across sites.
