ConsMin produces some of the world’s highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland and is a short two hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation - only a five minute drive from Woodie airport.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position operates on a 14 days 14 off, 14 nights 14 off rotation. Reporting to the Superintendent: Mobile Maintenance, your key responsibilities would be:

  • Lead with Safety - Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring all tasks are performed in line with safe work practices and compliance requirements.
  • Execute Maintenance Plans - Take ownership of the weekly mobile maintenance schedule, ensuring timely and effective execution of planned activities.
  • Planning & Scheduling - Assist in developing weekly maintenance schedules for a fleet of predominantly CAT equipment, including:
  • Hitachi EX3600
Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE ARE:

  • People Management & Leadership:
  • Supervisory experience in mobile maintenance within an operational mining environment.
  • Strong background in employee relations, including leadership and technical coaching, performance management aligned with KPIs and company values.
  • Relevant experience within Mining and/or Mobile Equipment Maintenance
  • Excellent time management and planning skills to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Clear and confident communication across all levels of the workforce.
  • A passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing and supporting trade and non-trade personnel.
  • Completing daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
  • Driving continuous improvement projects circulating around cost saving and production efficiency
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards and procedures.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly with systems such as Pronto, CAT SIS, ET, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Licensing & Qualifications:
  • Valid C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Trade Qualification: Mobile Plant Fitter – Heavy Diesel.
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate
