Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and energetic teammates and will be primarily responsible for delivering all maintenance activities across the fleet under the Next Generation Tram (NGT) contract at our Maidstone facility and other sites across the network. We’ll look to you for:

  • Maintaining and Repairing Vehicles: Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and equipment repairs on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Supporting Modifications: Assisting in vehicle modifications, retrofitting, and improvement programs to enhance reliability and maintainability
  • Technical Support: Providing on-call support, attending vehicle recovery sessions, and assisting customers with technical issues
  • Data & Reportinging: Recording faults and repairs, contributing to data collection, and analyzing trends in vehicle performance and reliability
  • Process Improvement: Helping review and optimizing maintenance regimes to reduce costs and risks while ensuring safety
  • Training & Compliance: Supporting training delivery, follow OH&S and quality policies, and fostering a positive work environment

  • 5 years of experience in LRV electrical and mechanical system
  • Knowledge of rolling stock equipment and maintenance including Maintenance Operations.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment
  • Strong technical ability for fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Electrical Fitter trade qualification
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage and influence at all levels, be a team player
