    Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Mobile Maintenance Trades Assistant A Shift to join our operation in Savage River.
    We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mobile Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our talented Mobile Maintenance Team at Savage River Mine. In this role, you will perform condition-based and preventative maintenance tasks on the mine mobile equipment including, servicing and minor repairs regularly.

We’re Grange Resources, Australia’s oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia’s largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects within the Mobile Maintenance team
  • Communicating with other technical and operational staff on site
  • Operate a Service truck to refuel and complete in-pit and workshop servicing on the mobile fleet
  • To carry out and assist Diesel Fitters/Boilermakers in minor and major repairs on the Mining equipment at Savage River Operatio

To be successful in this role you have:

  • A current full manual drivers’ licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical condition-based maintenance concepts and principals
  • Previous mining experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Sandvik Equipment
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office would be an advantage
  • Sound interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Mechanical trades assistants- proven mechanical experience require
