Report to the Mobile Maintenance Coordinator and responsible for developing and providing quality and timely technical and department-specific training, including training for policies/procedures, professional development, and on various items of mobile equipment to ensure maintainer competency, performance and improved equipment reliability. Main Accountabilities • Create and administer department specific maintainer training packages for all maintainers in mobile maintenance• Provide training and mentoring of technicians in the safe and efficient operation of all mobile equipment in mobile maintenance such as equipment maintenance moves, including coaching and completing sign offs.• Provide direction and mentoring to department identified coaches who assist with training• Evaluate employees on their abilities to safely and effectively maintain the equipment and other day to day activities.• Provide coaching to technicians on proper sequence of preventative maintenance and diagnosis to ensure quality work and to ensure equipment is returned back to service in a timely manner.• Maintain accurate records of training events and provide training reports and summaries as needed (course outlines, attendance & evaluations).• Provide regular monitoring and feedback to department managers and supervisors on training initiatives and outcomes.• Conduct new employee inductions, ensuring all required onboarding packages are completed. Provide department-specific orientation, including a thorough walkthrough of shops and work sites.• Ensure new employees are equipped with proper PPE according to Mobile Maintenance standards. • Be a courageous safety leader; adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedure compliance to site OHS standards as well as participating in safety initiatives, hazard identification, tool box meetings and incident investigations where required. Promote FLRA Main Qualifications High School Diploma College Diploma-Any relevant trade ticket (HD, HT, Welder, Machinist, Auto) minimum 7 years experience with heavy equipment from a 740-793 haul trucks, skid steers to 994 loader, 345 to 6060 excavator, 14-18M graders, D6-D10 dozers ect… OFF road Red seal certificate Train-the-trainer certificate-Preferred First Aid/CPR Certification-Preferred Train-the-trainer certificate-Preferred Job Location Mary River Mine Site, NU, Canada
