JOB DESCRIPTION

Allied Universal® is hiring a Mobile Security Professional. The Mobile Security Professional is responsible for conducting regular patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, facilities, and perimeter grounds, to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activities. Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and maintain order.

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
Shifts - Full availability is an asset, Weekends

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ontario drivers’ license - Class G
  • Valid provincial Security Guard License
  • Valied First Aid and CPR
  • Prior experience in security operations, preferably in a mobile patrol or similar role
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency In using security equipment, and technology, including surveillance systems, radios, and mobile devices
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations
  • Skilled in de-escalation techniques
  • Proficiency in security procedures, protocols, and emergency response techniques

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Additional education or training in security management or related field
Responsibilities
  • Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
  • Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
  • Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
  • Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulations
