Purpose As a Mobile Security Officer, you will provide mobile security services and world‑class client service excellence across a portfolio of client sites within a designated geographical area. As a Security Officer, you will perform various tasks such as locks/unlocks, escort services, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, patrols, and other mobile services as directed by the Deputy Branch Manager. Your role as a Security Officer is to protect clients' people, property, and assets while consistently upholding Securitas core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, ensuring their world is a safer place. Holds a valid SIA Licence Full manual UK driving licence with access to a personal vehicle Honest, hardworking, and trustworthy, demonstrating strong work ethic Flexible and reliable, able to support varying operational needs Capable of working independently or effectively as part of a team Proactive, with the ability to use initiative and make sound decisions Holds the Right to Work in the UK with a fully checkable 5‑year work history Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new situations Reliable and adaptable when working across different shift patterns Carries out regular patrols to deter unauthorised activity and maintain site security Keeps accurate and detailed records of daily tasks, incidents, and observations, ensuring timely completion of all paperwork Monitors access control, verifying identification and overseeing entry and exit points Conducts thorough searches of individuals and vehicles in line with established procedures Responds effectively to emergencies and security incidents, taking appropriate action to reduce risk and protect people and property Job Description Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: Mobile Security Services: As a Security Officer, deliver a range of mobile security services including locks, unlocks, internal and external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services. Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional, polite, and helpful attitude towards clients, their staff, and Securitas colleagues at all times as a dedicated Security Officer. Team Direction: Follow instructions from Team Leaders and collaborate effectively with team members. Uniform and Identification: Always wear the company uniform, visibly displaying the SIA licence and security ID card. Vehicle Management: Complete vehicle handovers and checks at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring the security of the company vehicle and equipment. Safe Driving: Abide by road rules (Highway Code), drive with due care and attention, and maintain the company’s reputation. Key Management: Adhere to correct key management processes when handling keys. Assignment Completion: Follow site assignment instructions and conduct dynamic risk assessments upon arrival at client sites. Incident Escalation: Follow proper escalation processes for incidents, break-ins, health and safety issues, and road traffic accidents. Reporting: Use GRS/SMP correctly, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting, supported by photos where applicable. Compliance: Fully comply with SOP13 and SOP18, understand the driver’s handbook, and adhere to the driver’s agreement. Flexibility: Be flexible to work across Branch Guarding districts (GDs) and assist other branches as required. Asset Security: Ensure company assets, including PDAs, are fully functional and used throughout the shift as expected of a Security Officer.
