JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence in good standing
  • Valid First Aid and Level “C” CPR certification
  • Must be able to walk, run, stand for extended periods of time, in addition to climbing stairs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MLEO certification (Municipal Law Enforcement Officer) is required
  • Minimum 3 years of professional security experience
  • Minimum 1 years of supervisory or team lead experience
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Must be able to walk, run, stand for extended periods of time, in addition to climbing stairs
  • Able to work independently without close supervision
  • Strong interpersonal, troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Skilled in performing building security and lock procedures
  • Must possess a valid G license or equivalent
  • Must be 25 years or older (for automobile insurance purposes)
  • Must provide Driver’s Abstract, without demerit points, dated within 30 days of hiring
  • Must possess own automobile insurance
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable provincial licensing requirements for mobile security guards.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English is required.
  • Other industry recognized certifications or experience is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Conduct spot checks, respond to alarms, tag automobiles, and perform other tasks using Wincon’s company vehicle
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure customer, employee, building, and equipment security
  • Write daily reports and maintain a record of incidents and activities in logbooks as required
  • Act as first point of contact for all after-hours client and field staff inquiries
  • Respond to major incidents on properties and aid mobile staff with managing the situation (e.g. fire, flood, medical issue and criminal activity)
  • Ensure the company vehicle is in working order by completing an inspection checklist at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Create weekly run sheet when required for mobile team
  • Maintain accuracy of mobile monthly billable hours spreadsheet
  • Conduct monthly, semi annual and annual evaluation meetings with the mobile team
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment for staff by establishing and enforcing standards and adhering to legal regulations
  • Accomplish department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes
  • Assist in generating and implementing SOPs, policies and procedures for the mobile department
