Ever dreamed of turning doggie frowns upside down and getting paid for it? Awesome Doggies Mobile Pet Grooming is looking for kind-hearted miracle workers to join our team and learn the art of pet grooming!
No professional grooming experience needed. Whether your animal handling experience is personal or professional, being someone who can put animals at ease when they aren’t in their comfort zone is a great starting point for this career. Previously successful candidates have included vet techs, brusher/bathers, ranch hands, regular volunteers with rescue groups, trainers, and general animal whisperers. We provide full training and all the gear you need to make tails wag and fur shine.
In this apprenticeship role, you’ll start by learning from the best before gradually transitioning to working on your own. This is a skill that takes years to master, but we will be here to guide you through the learning curve. Expect to work 30 hours a week, including weekends. Your pay will be $17.25 per hour plus overtime (since we work 10 hour shifts, we pay time and a half after 8 hours each day), plus tips on the days you work alone. You can expect to work in North County as well as central San Diego and East County.

We’re looking for someone who can embrace the chaos - be ready to face traffic delays, dog hair in every nook and cranny (even your coffee), occasional nibbles, and a sprinkle of pee—always with a smile.
