Description

TechStar Ballincollig (Castlewest Shopping Centre) is looking for an experienced mobile devices technician in Cork. At TechStar, we deliver exceptional customer service, great sales and repairs, value professionalism, and great-looking stores.
This posting is for a full-time position, 30-40 hours a week.
The ideal applicant should have experience fixing smartphones and tablets in the retail environment and doing both, working within a team and under their initiative.
Please note this is also a customer-facing role. The basic ability to fix laptops and desktops would be required for this role.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, presentable, professional and driven to achieve both store and personal targets, hardworking, reliable, motivated and a quick learner. Our primary focus is customer service, so you must enjoy interacting with customers while going the extra mile.

Responsibilities:

  • Repairing Apple Smartphones
  • Repairing Samsung Smartphones
  • Repairing iPads and Tablets
  • Learning to fix new phones and tablets
  • Achieving store targets
  • Meeting, greeting and engaging with customers
  • Delivering sales
  • Repair Lab maintenance
  • Managing repairs to maximize revenue and keeping the time frames
  • Updating customers regularly and documenting all work done correctly
  • Promote TechStar brand

Smartphone technicians will have to repair Apple, Samsung and other phones proficiently.
The technician must diagnose and replace screens, batteries and other components within 15-20 minutes.
The role includes opening and closing a store, working with a cash register and covering some front-of-house duties.
Personality:
Passionate, outgoing, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be a fast multitasker who will not go past the quality issues. The candidate must be a great team player and self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Experience:
It is imperative to have some experience repairing smartphones, sales and customer service with a proven track record of achieving KPIs and targets.
If the role is in a city with multiple locations, the technician may work in different stores.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €15.00-€16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
